Hi, Natalie here
Yes, unfortunately it's true. ChooseYourColor.com sent me a broken but albeit free Macbook Air. I guess I shouldn't complain, but being who I am, I did – and they're sending me a replacement!
Apparently all their free Macbook Airs are fresh and brand new from Apple, so it must have been damaged in the post. I suppose if mine was damaged in the post, that's no reason for you not to apply for yours…

It was a perfectly working Macbook Air, but had a huge crack through the screen, making it more or less unusable. I have to give some credit to this 'Choose Your Color' group though, they shipped the product over in just a few days, and customer services were very polite and more than happy to send me a replacement. Providing of course that I return the broken one to them as I found it.

Warning: This is the first time I have dealt with 'ChooseYourColor.com'. They're a new promotions company who seem to have pulled through for me so far, but I can't vouch for their track record since they don't have one! So whether you apply for this or not is totally up to you. But if you do fancy getting your hands on a free Macbook Air, I suggest you click here to see if you are eligible to apply.
